Our Story

The story began one day after the height of the pandemic.  My 11-year old daughter asked me to help her start a cookie business.  I am an exercise physiologist and have never ventured in the food industry...other than to eat.  One thing I did have was a desire to teach my daughter entrepreneurial skills.  No better way than to 'learn-by-doing."  I know my little one had grown weary of the local bakery not having tasty treats available for someone with an egg allergy.  She decided to fix this "pain point" herself.  So Cookie YAY was born! 

We are truly Cookies for a Cause.  A portion of all proceeds will directly fund the development of young entrepreneurs (with a particular focus on "learning-by-doing" business activities).  Cookie YAY will eventually become the first Cookie Tech company (creating digital entrepreneurial content for the next generation).  In less than one year we have acquired access to a commercial kitchen, and been accepted into one of the largest farmer's markets in Maryland!  We look forward to serving you some of the most delicious cookie flavors imaginable.  Come take this journey with us.  We look forward to your support.
